training
philosophising with children, p4c...
Overview:
The course teaches the basics of philosophical discussion. The focus is
on the practical method of "philosophising with children". In Module 3
you will get to know aspects of "p4c" (philosophy for children).
The course is methodically and didactically structured in such a way
that you can use philosophising in groups of children, young people or
adults in the best possible way. After the first module, you can try out
and carry out your first steps in practice. The training is also
suitable for personality development and self-awareness and can be
combined with many professional fields. Educators, trainers,
psychologists and students, as well as private individuals, take part in
the course. The basic training consists of a total of
four modules in which the basics of philosophising are experienced and
learned step by step. The academy imparts the methodology and didactics
of this cultural technique. After the first module, you can work on your
first units yourself and gain initial experience. The
model taught by the academy has been used and taught successfully in
practice for many years (2006).
No previous knowledge is required.
Two further advanced modules open up further possibilities after the
training.
Content:
You will be taught methods to create an adequate framework for
philosophical discussions: develop rituals, topics and use questioning
techniques. You will learn how to help others LISTEN, ASK QUESTIONS and
develop YOUR OWN OPINION. This gradually creates a collaborative and
appreciative discussion atmosphere, where curiosity and the joy of joint
research and exchange are the focus.
In contrast to philosophy, philosophising is NOT about
imparting knowledge or discussing statements by well-known philosophers,
but about creating a framework in which one's own thoughts, ideas and a
culture of discussion can be developed. In the first module you will
learn what a philosophical question actually is and how to formulate it.
The aim of philosophising is to develop and promote the joy of joint
research.
Requirements:
No previous knowledge is required.
Certificate:
You will receive a certificate upon completion of all four basic modules
at the end of the training after your final unit.
In addition to the formal degree, we focus on quality and practical
relevance, the joy of philosophising together, mutual exchange and the
joy of personal development.
The individual modules in detail:
The training has a modular structure and starts with the topic ME, and develops
thematically towards YOU, towards the community, i.e. the WE, through to one’s
own values ??and attitude. The training modules are practice-oriented "hands-on
seminars".
Module 1: Who am I? - the pillars of the "I"
The aim of the first module is to develop skills for philosophical questions and
the framework for philosophical discussions. The participants gain initial
experience in moderating philosophical discussions and develop the necessary
prerequisites for practical implementation. You will also learn methods and
techniques for developing philosophical questions so that you can immediately
apply and try them out in practice. The main focus is on life issues related to
your own self with thoughts and feelings.
Module 2: What does relationship mean? - interpersonal, the "YOU"
The second training module focuses on the philosophical attitude and the
thematic focus on "relationships" and "interpersonal issues". In addition, the
role of the discussion leader in philosophical discussions is examined in more
detail and further developed through an extended discussion. In a practice
transfer, the participants can exchange and work on experiences and difficulties
together with the seminar leader. Differences between philosophising and other
"forms of conversation" are made clear through exercises and round off the
second module.
Module 3: What is real? - Things, realities & the "WE"
In the third module, the participants get to know new techniques for in-depth
questioning in philosophical discussions. In addition, the p4c is another method
on the program. After the philosophical question and attitude (modules 1 and 2),
philosophical activities are considered and worked out as a method. Reality and
the things that surround us and make up the world are the focus of this third
module. "What is magic? Where does the world come from? What does community
actually mean?" are possible questions. A further practical transfer represents
another important building block in Module 3.
Module 4: How do we want to live? - Values & Responsibility
The last module focuses on topics related to values ??and the final units of the
participants: "How do values ??come about?" or "What is really important in
life?". The prospective discussion leaders also get to know a more advanced
variant of philosophising. Monitoring and feedback is another component of this
module. The ceremonial awarding of certificates at the end of the second day
concludes this training series.
